Josh Rohrscheib is Of Counsel to Bolen Robinson & Ellis, LLP, working primarily out of our Bloomington office, but serving clients throughout Central Illinois. Josh is a personal injury lawyer, dedicated to helping those who have been injured by the carelessness of others.
Before joining BRE Law, Josh served as an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of a global law firm, as General Counsel of a mid-sized trucking company, and practiced with other firms in Central Illinois, including his own.
After receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, Josh served as a policy staffer in the Illinois General Assembly. He attended the University of Illinois College of Law where he earned Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, and served as an Associate Editor of the University of Illinois Law Review. At the U of I, he was elected Student Body President and created the Legacy of Service Scholarship, which provides hundreds of students with scholarships each year they participate in community service.
Josh is very active in the community. He previously served on the Boards of the McLean County Museum of History, the Decatur Area Arts Council, Decatur Public Library Foundation, the Decatur Celebration, and the Young Philanthropists’ Giving Circle, and as President of the Decatur Chess Club. His service was recognized when he was named to the Central Illinois Business Journal’s list of 20 People Under 40 Who Make a Difference in Central Illinois. In 2014, he was nominated for the Greater Decatur Chamber of Commerce’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Each year Josh offers a scholarship in memory of his grandmother for college students studying to be teachers called the Mary Rohrscheib Teaching Scholarship.
Josh has been recognized by Martindale-Hubble with an AV Preeminent Rating, by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star, and by the National Trial Lawyers, as a Top 40 Under 40 Illinois Plaintiff’s lawyer.
Josh is a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Decatur Bar Association, and McLean County Bar Association.
