John Cannon is a seasoned personal injury attorney with over 25 years of experience dedicated to representing individuals who have been injured through no fault of their own. Throughout his career, John has built a reputation not only for his legal knowledge, but for the personal attention, care, and advocacy he brings to every client he represents.
John earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 1995 and his Juris Doctor from SIU Carbondale School of Law in 1999. He was licensed to practice law in Illinois in May of 2000 and has focused exclusively on personal injury law for the entirety of his legal career.
Before joining Bolen Robinson & Ellis LLP, John practiced with McCarthy, Rowden, Baker & Cannon for more than two decades. John has always brought a client-focused approach rooted in communication, trust, and education. John is known for spending significant time with his clients, explaining the legal process, helping them understand their options, and guiding them through difficult situations with clarity and compassion. As a result, much of his practice has been built on referrals from past and current clients who value both his professionalism and his approachable, personable nature.
Outside of his legal practice, John is a devoted family man. He has been married for 27 years and is the proud father of three children and a granddaughter. His commitment to family and community is reflected in the way he approaches his practice, treating clients with respect, patience, and genuine care.
